BA600/60 acoustic panel- Polyurethane
RRP: $39 per panel
Application: Controls broad frequency reverb and reflection
Frequency Characteristics: 240Hz – 20Khz
Installation: Water based adhesive
Dimensions: 600 x 600 x 60mm, border 40mm
Designed for effective control of excessive interior noise levels due to uncontrolled sound reverberation and reflection. The BA600-60 manufactured from combustion modified high density polyurethane provides a cost effective alternative to the Willtec BA600-60, suitable for applications that do not require a Class 1 rated panel.
Typically, interior spaces which contain hard re?ective surfaces results in the propagation and accumulation of sound waves, with an associated increase in sound pressure levels. This effect can be also be exacerbated by the shape and dimensions of a room.
Designed and developed by SoundAcoustics, the BA600/60’s unique multi- angled profle combines form with function, presenting a striking contemporary aesthetic, as well as providing outstanding acoustic absorption characteristics across a broad frequency range. All SoundAcoustics products are manufactured in Australia, with product testing taking place at the RMIT acoustic laboratory in Melbourne. The BA600/60 acoustic panel is also suitable for high-end studio applications in the recording and broadcast industries. The panels are manufactured as a nested pair, and are designed to be installed at 90 degrees to one another. The standard colour is dark grey. The panels can also be flock coated in a range of colors, at additional cost.
BA300-90 SoundBites Broadband Panels x 12
SoundBites are 300 x 300 x 90mm (max) broadband acoustic panels offering effective absorption from 250 Hz and above. SoundBites have been designed to provide outstanding cost/performance, far superior to typical budget acoustic panels. Due to the height of the panel SoundBites cast an effective “acoustic shadow”. This mean that the efficiency of the acoustic treatment can be increased by spacing the panel up to 10cm. SoundBites are manufactured from the same premium quality high density acoustic foam as other panels in the SoundAcoustics range. SoundBites now the feature the “Staple T” hidden channel for quick and easy installation with a staple gun.The standard colour is charcoal grey. SoundBites come in a box of 12 ($99)
SoundBites are suitable for general acoustic control and critical listening applications.

HA600/75 HybridAcoustic
RRP: $59.00 per panel
The patented HybridAcoustic HA600/75* is a unique acoustic panel that can function purely as an acoustic absorber or alternatively, as a hybrid diffuser/absorber. The HA600/75 acoustic panel is designed to receive a polycarbonate diffuser insert, for the purpose of modifying the acoustic characteristics of the panel. The diffuser forms a smooth radius, effectively spreading high frequency reflections. The diffuser insert also provides the additional benefit of significantly extending the low frequency absorption of the panel. The HA600/75 offers you the flexibility to fine tune your acoustic environment.

Diffusion and Absorption.
In many listening and music production environments, it is desirable that the acoustic treatment provides both absorption and diffusion. Reflected high frequencies give a room a sense of space and proportion, a necessary component of creating a pleasing acoustic environment. Diffusion softens harsh reflections, while allowing sound to dissipate in a more natural way than a straight absorber will. This also prevents unpleasant high frequency flutter, the result of reflections off a hard, flat surface.?Lower frequencies (below 300Hz) create additional acoustic problems related to the harmonic characteristics of a room.
Certain frequencies can appear louder and others quieter, creating listening accuracy issues in both the recording and reproduction of music.
Exhaustive development has resulted in an acoustic panel that provides the ideal blend of diffusion and absorption. The HA600/75 also perfectly complements the BT600/150 corner bass trap, providing a complete acoustic solution.

A perfect balance of absorption and diffusion.
Without the diffuser insert (see graph above) the HA600/75 functions as a quality broadband absorber, providing the performance expected of a 75mm thick panel. The ability of acoustic foam to absorb lower frequencies is directly related to thickness. With the diffuser insert installed, a smooth roll-off of high frequency absorption occurs above 400Hz, down to a flat absorption coefficient of 0.5 (50%) from 1 Khz to 5Khz and above. Above 400Hz the HA600/75 provides a controlled balance of absorption and diffusion.
At lower frequencies the diffuser insert has been designed to behave as a resonator panel, enhancing low frequency absorption, achieving a considerable 70% absorption at 160 Hertz (see graph above). Testing and evaluation takes place at the NATA accredited acoustic laboratory at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Melbourne.

Get creative!
The clear diffuser provides the perfect opportunity for customization. For that extra splash of colour insert a sheet of coloured cardboard (or similar) behind the diffuser. Posters also look great mounted behind the polycarbonate insert. An inexpensive way to create your own look, or match your existing decor.
The standard colour is charcoal grey but panels can be flock coated (suede fibre type finish) in a range of colours at additional cost.

BT120/80 Large Volume Corner Bass Trap
Frequency Range: 35Hz and above
Dimensions: 1200 x 800 x 180mm
Application: High efficiency corner bass trap suitable for professional recording studio and home theatre installation. Achieves true reduction in low frequency reverb times, deals effectively with room modes.
Corner bass traps are an effective device for reducing low frequency reverb times. Otherwise known as pressure zone traps they are easily installed and removed. Our aim is to achieve similar reverb times across the frequency range as well as reduce peaks and troughs in the frequency characteristics of a room. The graph below demonstrates reverb times across the frequency spectrum in an untreated bedroom (4.2m x 3.6 m x 2.4m).

The room was then treated with 12 SA600/150 and 12 SA600/75 broadband panels. No bass trapping was installed. The panels were very effective reducing reverb times down to 125Hz but had little impact below 125Hz (See below graph). In fact, the lower frequency reverb times became longer. Bass trapping is an integral component of an acoustic room treatment in order to create a balanced listening environment.
