Home Theatre

Home theatre systems require acoustic treatment to improve the clarity of dialogue, control the low end and allow the surround sound to provide an immersive experience. Movie theatres are heavily treated with acoustic panels and bass traps. In order to achieve a similar experience the home theatre should be similarly treated. A problem unique to the home theatre is the use of subwoofers in an acoustically small space. It is important that the home theatre room is fitted with substantial bass trapping in order to control excessive low frequency reverberation that results in a boomy and muddy listening experience.
